They left no stone unturned when creating Nicco's inside the Durango Resort & Casino. The decor is beautiful, the live DJ plays great music, the staff is attentive, and the food is impeccable! Because this place is a new, shiny toy in Vegas, I recommend making a reservation in advance. We went on a Tuesday, and the place was packed. Nicco’s is undoubtedly on the pricier end, so I would save it for a special occasion or a date night because you do not want to skimp out on the food and drinks here. If I could recommend one thing about this place, it would be to save room for dessert and order the smore’s cookie skillet. I literally dream about it, and it's the best dessert I have had at a restaurant.

I will put it this way, I grew up in an Italian family, and my Italian parents both loved it here! I recommend starting your meal with the prime beef meatballs and Cremini Mushroom Pizza. Both are great appetizers loaded with flavor that can feed a group. For your main course, you must get the Rigatoni alla Vodka. If you don’t get anything else, that dish is a must! It pairs well with their Chicken Parmesan, which easily feeds three people, and they have great steak and seafood options as well. If you have enough room for dessert (which you probably won’t), their chocolate gelato is rich and delicious.

If you are trying to make an entire date night out of it, start with cocktails at the bar, have dinner, then check out the free live music on Fremont Street or walk through the Mob Museum. Wear a nice outfit because this restaurant is an upscale, old-school dining experience. Make sure to order a martini, you will get more bang for your buck!

Take advantage of their happy hour from 4 pm-6 pm. Their happy hour has 15 different wines for under $10 a glass and great bites ranging from $5-$12. For that alone, this place is worth going to. I would suggest starting with drinks at the bar before going into the restaurant for dinner. Reservations are not required but are recommended because you can eat at the bar or lounge. They also have one of the best French onion soups I have ever had.

This beauty of a restaurant has never turned down one of my large group outings. I am talking anywhere from 10 – 20+ people. But the real specialty of this place is their brunch. They have a great menu that has variety and flavor ranging from your traditional breakfast items to great Italian dishes. And the best part is, their bottomless mimosas are $18 a person. The staff are super friendly and will make sure the drinks are flowing by dropping off carafes of champagne (not mixed with juice) at the table. If you aren’t much of a brunch person, they are open for dinner daily starting at 5 pm during the week and have a lot of great dishes (get the chicken parm)!

I have been to several different KBBQ spots in Vegas, and none compares to what Kogi offers, making it arguably the best KBBQ spot in Las Vegas. This place is always packed and does not take reservations, so consider getting there before 6 pm to beat the dinner rush. One of my favorite things about Kogi is the variety of options they have with not only their meat selections but appetizers and hot pot options as well. You can get everything from tacos to seafood and premium-cut meats. And one thing Kogi does not skimp on is the quality of their food. Everything tastes fresh, the place is clean, and the meat is good!

In the warmer months, request to sit on the patio. The atmosphere is great with the Lake in the background, and they’ll often have live music on the weekends. One of my favorite things is, hands down, the pizza! They have some of the best pizza I have ever had. The ingredients are fresh, and the dough has a great brick oven flavor. Aside from their pizza, I love their calamari and sangria. Their homemade sangria goes down like water! Weekends are usually fully booked, so I recommend making reservations beforehand.

Absinthe is hands down one of the best shows on the Las Vegas Strip. I have been three times now, and the show never disappoints. I highly suggest buying tickets ahead of time. The seating is intimate, so they sell out quickly. I would suggest valeting your car at Caesars unless you don’t mind walking from the parking garage, which can be a bit of a trek. They have a speakeasy called Pier 17 Yacht Club, which is worth checking out for a preshow drink. If there is any advice I can give you, it's to have an open mind when seeing this show. They love to pick on the crowd (especially the front row), and the acts can be very risqué, so don’t be shocked by anything they may say or do. It's such a fun experience, and I can’t get enough!

Courts & Coffee takes place every Sunday from 9 am to 10:30 am, where you can enjoy complimentary coffee and pastries after gameplay. This is a great spot for hosting group events, and they have equipment available for rent if you don’t have your own.
