Summer House has emerged as one of the newest Vegas hot spots, epitomizing the essence of an endless California summer. The vibe is purely Santa Monica, laid back yet luxurious, a chic sanctuary of whitewashed colors and natural materials, all crowned by a glorious indoor/outdoor space and dotted with leafy trees. The restaurant is drenched in natural light from the soaring skylights, better to see the roaming rosé cart and the locally-sourced ingredients paired with premier California wines. It's a perfect lunch rendezvous for the effortlessly stylish, tucked away in the folds of Durango Resort's delicious culinary line up.

Sit outdoors during the summer months. Even in the winter it is an open airy restaurant so request window seating! And make sure to swing by the cookie bar just outside the restaurant to order dessert, and request it a-la-mode!

With its West Coast vibe, the fresh seafood and avocado-on-everything mentality make it a better lunch spot than dinner. The portions are huge so you’ll want to order the pizzas and salads for the table. And while you're at it, get the salmon poke nachos on crispy wontons, they're one of the best dishes on the menu. When the restaurant is busy (read always), it can get extremely loud, so ask for a table on the terrace or behind the bar seating for something a little more intimate. Skip dessert at the table and stop by the cookie bar on your way out. You'll pay about $5 for a single cookie, but they are huge and made to share.

The octopus and Peruvian ceviche were my absolute favorite appetizers. The octopus is sourced off the coast of Baja and slowly roasted to a charred and tender perfection. The restaurant is crowded because it’s so popular, which means it can get loud too. If you're looking for an intimate evening where you can talk over dinner, ask to be seated on the patio. Stop in the speakeasy after dinner, but I'll bet you 20 bucks you can't find the door. Just ask someone, it's worth stopping in for a cocktail and enjoying the intimate and much quieter vibe.

Stop by The Sundry Food Hall in the center of Uncommons, which offers a variety of food vendors ranging from chicken tenders to Italian and Asian cuisine. Check their website for pop-up events like holiday activities, farmers markets on select Sundays, watch parties, etc. For a unique activity great for dates or girls' night, check out Speakeasy Candles, a cocktail and candle-making class where a mixologist serves you two cocktails during your 1.5-hour time slot. Once you are done shopping, grab a sandwich at All’Antico Vinaio or Boba tea at Teaspoon.
